In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.

The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Content

Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
